MASAKA, UGANDA — Greater Masaka police have arrested 12 individuals suspected of involvement in the kidnapping of a 7-year-old pupil from Dimo Landing Site, Masaka District. The abduction occurred on March 21, 2025, at approximately 7:00 AM.

According to police reports, the victim was abducted by two men riding a red Bajaj Boxer motorcycle while en route to school.

Subsequently, the kidnappers contacted the child’s family, demanding a ransom of UGX 200,000 (Aproximately $54 USD), which was promptly paid. However, the kidnappers ceased communication following the initial payment.
