KAMPALA, Uganda — A boxing event at Lugogo Indoor Arena took an unexpected turn on Saturday 4, July 2026 night after Ugandan socialites Zahara Totto and Prima Kardashi became involved in a physical altercation on the sidelines of the Uganda Boxing Champions League.

The incident occurred during a fight night headlined by a bout between Regan Magumba and Reagan Lubega Canelo, drawing attention away from the action inside the ring and onto the VIP section of the venue.

Witnesses said the two socialites, who had earlier participated in fan engagement activities organised by the Uganda Boxing Federation, were involved in a heated exchange that escalated into a brief scuffle before security personnel and members of their entourages intervened.

No injuries were reported.

Argument escalates in VIP section

According to witnesses at the event, the disagreement began as a verbal confrontation before quickly becoming physical.

Videos circulating on social media appeared to show the pair exchanging blows as bystanders attempted to separate them.

The confrontation was brought under control within moments, allowing the boxing programme to continue.

Neither Totto nor Kardashi had publicly commented on the incident by press time.

Rivalry predates Lugogo confrontation

The altercation comes amid a long-running public rivalry between the two personalities.

Both women are known figures in Uganda’s entertainment and social scene and have previously appeared together on the reality television series Kampala Crème, where tensions between cast members have often formed part of the programme’s storyline.

The latest confrontation has reignited public discussion about the nature of their relationship, with social media users offering competing explanations for the dispute.

While some online commentators suggested the clash reflected an ongoing personal disagreement, others speculated that the incident could have been amplified by their reality television rivalry.

However, no evidence has emerged to support claims that the altercation was staged.

Social media reacts

Footage of the confrontation quickly spread across social media platforms, prompting widespread reactions from fans and entertainment followers.

Some viewers criticised the incident as inappropriate conduct at a public sporting event, while others linked it to ongoing tensions portrayed on reality television.

The incident also attracted attention because it occurred just hours before the scheduled season finale of Kampala Crème, which airs on Pearl Magic Prime.

Boxing event overshadowed

The confrontation briefly overshadowed a night intended to celebrate Ugandan boxing talent and fan engagement activities organised by the Uganda Boxing Federation.

The federation has not issued a statement regarding the incident.

As of publication, organisers had not indicated whether any disciplinary measures would be taken against those involved.
