NAIROBI, Kenya — Comedian and philanthropist Eric Omondi has announced plans to walk from Nairobi to Mombasa, covering 486 kilometres over four days, in a fundraising initiative timed to Valentine’s Day.
The journey, dubbed the “Walk of Love”, will see Omondi depart from Nyayo National Stadium on February 10, 2026, and arrive at Mama Ngina Waterfront Park on February 14. The trek is intended to raise funds for the construction of the Sisi Kwa Sisi Help and Rescue Centre.
“On February 10, 2026, I will be walking from Nairobi’s Nyayo Stadium to Mama Ngina (Waterfront Park). I will be covering a distance of 486 kilometres. And remember this is a walk of love because we are doing this during Valentine’s,” Omondi said in a video shared on his social media platforms on Monday, February 2, 2026.
The rescue centre, which Omondi describes as a cornerstone of his philanthropic legacy, will include a warehouse, two ambulances, a clinic, and a free secondary school. The facility aims to provide immediate aid and long-term support for vulnerable Kenyans.
“I am walking to raise funds to build the SISI KWA SISI HELP AND RESCUE CENTRE. The Rescue Centre will house: 1. A WAREHOUSE 2. TWO AMBULANCES 3. A CLINIC 4. A FREE SECONDARY SCHOOL,” he said. “You can walk with me by sending whatever you can.”
Omondi revealed that the warehouse will also serve as a collection point for donated items.

“The Sisi Kwa Sisi Help and Rescue Centre will be a place where Kenyans will find help. So far, we have handled 208 cases in two years, and there are more cases pending, with more Kenyans needing help or rescuing,” he added.
This initiative builds on Omondi’s history of social impact in Kenya, where he has previously leveraged his platform to support vulnerable communities through relief efforts, advocacy, and direct intervention.
The walk also highlights the growing trend among Kenyan celebrities combining entertainment with social responsibility, using public visibility to mobilise resources for charitable causes.
