NAIROBI, Kenya — Digital content creator Director Trevor has stirred conversations across social media after posting a dramatically humorous “warning” about his current relationship. The popular YouTuber, who is dating Kiki Yvonne, shared the message via Instagram stories, outlining what he jokingly described as the only two possible outcomes should the relationship falter.

Trevor’s post comes amid ongoing public interest in his romantic life. Following his high-profile split from former partner and collaborator Mungai Eve, fans have been keenly following his new chapter.

In a message widely circulated by local entertainment blogs, Trevor injected heavy sarcasm into the scenario. He humorously suggested that if Kiki Yvonne were ever to leave him, the outcome would be either a hospital bed or a police station. The message, displayed over video footage in Swahili, read:

“Huyu wa sai akiniacha ni either mniletee fruits hosii ama chai na mkate police station.”

Translated, it is a tongue-in-cheek plea for friends to either bring fruits if he ends up in hospital, or tea and bread at a police station. Laughing and heart-eyes emojis punctuated the post, emphasizing that the message was intended in jest.

A vivid display of confidence

The accompanying video reinforced the playful yet stylish tone. Trevor appeared in a crisp, all-white summer outfit, featuring a fitted ribbed vest, matching cargo shorts, a white baseball cap, and patterned sandals.

He was filmed pacing through a spacious, well-lit living room with high ceilings, arched doorways, polished wooden bookshelves, and turquoise-cushioned furniture.

His serious expression contrasted humorously with the caption, highlighting his flair for dramatics.

The Kiki Yvonne era

The relationship between Director Trevor and Kiki Yvonne became public two years ago, following months of speculation after Trevor rebranded his social media platforms from “Mungai Eve” to Kenya Online Media.

Since then, the couple has been inseparable, often sharing coordinated photos and videos from vacations, events, and red-carpet appearances. Unlike his previous partnership, which was heavily professional, his current relationship appears more lifestyle-focused, emphasizing social visibility.

Trevor’s influence in the Kenyan digital content space remains substantial. His YouTube channel boasts over 750,000 subscribers, and his Instagram stories regularly attract tens of thousands of views within hours, underscoring his continued reach and engagement.
