    Job Title:  Senior Manager Special Projects

    About Organisation:

    Next Media is the leading multimedia company in Uganda aspiring to become the most relevant media in Africa. Next Media has evolved from one television station to three television stations, web products, an online news portal, a radio station, and a media production agency.

    Job Summary:   

    The Senior Manager special Projects will be responsible for managing special projects initiatives, and tasks that support commercial goals and objectives. This role requires strong project management skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams

    Key Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Manage and design special projects initiatives from conception to completion, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery
    • Collaborate to identify and design project requirements and objectives e.g., promos, synopsis and overall look and feel with internal stakeholders, including sales, marketing, and operations teams.
    • Work with the team to ensure that Next Media earns sales from government, civil society organizations, the manufacturing sector, construction, embassies and any other special projects assigned to you.
    • Proactively work with clients to ensure continuous value addition and repeat business to them from Next Media.
    • Participate in client pitches from beginning to end while building relationships to enable business development in the market.
    • Provide on-air support to potential and existing clients to ensure they receive appropriate support from all areas of Next Media business.
    • Ensure to provide an updated aster list of all assigned client spending potentials.
    • Always ensure to perform excellently any other duties as may be assigned by your supervisor in line with your position.
    • Ensure that your supervisor(s) receive weekly performance reports to track the progress of targets on your portfolio.
    • Perform all other duties as assigned by your supervisor in line with your duties.

    Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field.
    • Minimum 4 years of experience in project management, preferably in a commercial or business development environment. (Experience in media will be an added advantage)
    • Proven track record of successfully managing projects from start to finish.
    • Excellent project management, organizational, and time management skills.
    • Strong communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
    • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Ability to work under extreme deadline pressure.
    • Demonstrated passions to provide exceptional service to meet our customers’ business needs
    • Graphic design and content creation skills.
