NAIROBI, Kenya — This Saturday, Nairobi will become the hub of football and music as the curtains fall on the 2024 African Nations Championship (CHAN) with over four hours of non-stop entertainment.

The highly anticipated final between Madagascar and Morocco at Kasarani Stadium will be a showcase of world-class football. Off the pitch, a lineup of East Africa’s top performers will ignite the stage and stands.

Ugandan superstar Eddy Kenzo, Tanzania’s Zuchu, and Kenya’s Savara will perform, transforming the stadium into a festival ground.

Gates open at 2:00 PM, welcoming thousands of fans to what organizers are calling the biggest concert-scale experience in the region.

The entertainment will match the magnitude of the final, featuring a specially built stage, cutting-edge lighting displays, and a fireworks spectacle.

Eddy Kenzo is expected to set the tone with his high-energy anthems, which are popular across the continent.

Zuchu, known for her powerful vocals and electric performances, will bring a blend of elegance and fire to the stage.

Kenya’s own Savara will complete the trio, ensuring that home fans feel every beat of the celebration.

Together, the three acts will unite East Africa’s sound in a night destined to echo long after the final whistle.

The performances add an extra spark to a tournament that has already captured the hearts of fans. Although Kenya’s Harambee Stars were knocked out in the quarterfinals after a heartbreaking penalty shootout loss to Madagascar, the atmosphere in Nairobi has remained electric.

With tickets for the final nearly sold out, the stage is set for a fitting send-off for a competition that has not only showcased African talent but also strengthened East Africa’s readiness to co-host the AFCON 2027.

As Morocco chases a third CHAN title and Madagascar aims to complete their fairy-tale run, one thing is certain: the true winner on Saturday will be the spirit of celebration.

At Kasarani, football will provide the tension, but the music, lights, and fireworks will cement CHAN 2024 as a spectacle for the ages.
