KAJIADO, Kenya — A police officer has died in Kitengela following an altercation with a senior colleague, in a tragic incident believed to have stemmed from a love triangle. The deceased, identified as Police Constable Manasseh Ithiru, who was attached to the Kitengela Police Station, reportedly fell to his death from the fourth floor of an apartment building.
According to a police report, the incident took place at Geoffrey Flats, an apartment complex located on Deliverance Road. Constable Ithiru had been visiting a woman, 27-year-old Irene Wavinya Nzioka, in her room on the fourth floor.
The situation escalated when Sergeant Abubakar Said, who is attached to the CIPU EPZ Camp Athi River, unexpectedly arrived at the same residence to visit Nzioka.
A scuffle reportedly broke out between the two officers, during which the sergeant is alleged to have thrown the junior officer from the apartment balcony.

Officers from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) and the Crime Scene Investigation (CSI) Unit were dispatched to the scene, where they found the Constable’s body in the parking lot with multiple injuries, including severe head trauma.
The scene was processed and documented as part of an ongoing investigation.
The body was transported to the Shalom Hospital Mortuary to await a postmortem examination.
Both Sergeant Abubakar Said and Irene Wavinya Nzioka have been taken into custody and are assisting police with their investigations into the incident.
