ELDORET, Kenya — Moi University in Eldoret is set to host a public auction featuring a variety of livestock and a vehicle.
The institution has invited members of the public to view the items starting tomorrow, Friday, and continuing through Monday next week, ahead of the public auction scheduled for June 24, 2025.
According to a notice issued by Moi University Vice Chancellor Prof. Kiplagat Kotut, the animals and the vehicle will be auctioned at the farmyard located on the main campus in Kesses, Uasin Gishu County.
The animals available for auction include bulls and bull calves, with prices ranging from Ksh. 50,000 to Ksh. 70,000 each.
German Shepherd breed dogs are listed at Ksh. 40,000 each, while donkeys will be sold for between Ksh. 9,000 and Ksh. 15,000 each.
Pigs are also part of the auction, with prices from Ksh. 3,500 to Ksh. 7,000 each.
In addition to the livestock, the university is disposing of a Toyota Hilux vehicle, which has an asking price of Ksh. 350,000.
