Why Spice Diana greeted Sheebah despite their years-long fallout
Sheebah, Spice Diana finally reconcile?

KAMPALA, Uganda — Ugandan singer Spice Diana has addressed the viral moment in which she was seen greeting fellow musician Sheebah Karungi at a Castle Lite event, saying their past differences were not serious enough for her to ignore a greeting.

The interaction attracted attention from fans after the two musicians, whose relationship has been strained for several years, were seen shaking hands at the event.

The brief exchange prompted speculation online that the two artists could be putting their differences behind them and possibly repairing their relationship.

However, Spice Diana has played down the significance of the encounter, saying the two were attending the event in their professional capacity as brand ambassadors.

Spice Diana: ‘Why wouldn’t I greet her?’

Addressing the viral moment, Spice Diana questioned why she would deliberately refuse to acknowledge Sheebah.

“Why wouldn’t I greet her? Did she kill any of my relatives?” she asked.

The singer said there was no reason for her to ignore Sheebah, particularly because both artists had attended the event to fulfil their responsibilities as brand ambassadors.

“We were doing business and had come to work. We were invited as brand ambassadors for a big company, so what we did was exactly what we had to do,” Spice Diana said.

Her comments suggest that the handshake should not necessarily be interpreted as confirmation that the pair have fully reconciled.

‘If someone greets me, I cannot refuse’

Spice Diana also said she would normally respond when someone approaches her with a greeting, although she acknowledged that her reaction could depend on the circumstances surrounding a disagreement.

“If someone greets me, I cannot refuse to answer her because it’s not like she hurt that bad. There’s no way anyone can come out and greet me and I ignore him,” she said.

“It even depends on what the beef is.”

The comments offer a more measured explanation of the encounter, amid widespread speculation among fans about whether the two singers had ended their long-running differences.

A viral moment between two Ugandan stars

Spice Diana and Sheebah have been at the centre of public speculation over their relationship for years, with their reported differences frequently discussed by fans and within Uganda’s entertainment industry.

Their appearance at the same Castle Lite event provided a rare public moment of interaction between the two musicians.

Although the handshake generated considerable interest online, Spice Diana’s explanation indicates that the encounter was, at least in part, a reflection of their professional obligations at the event.

Whether the moment marks a broader reconciliation between the two artists remains unclear.

For now, neither singer has publicly announced that their differences have been fully resolved.
