NAIROBI, Kenya — Faiba has been ranked the leading fixed internet provider in Kenya for upload speeds in 2026, according to new data from nPerf.
The data, collected between April 1, 2025, and March 31, 2026, evaluated providers on browsing and video streaming quality.
The report shows Faiba recording an average upload speed of 44.42 Mbps, placing it ahead of key competitors in the Kenyan broadband market.
Zuku followed with 30.02 Mbps, while Safaricom recorded 26.82 Mbps. Airtel Kenya posted 22.56 Mbps, with VGG Connect trailing at 21.49 Mbps.
Upload speed measures how quickly users can send data to the internet, including files, videos, and live-stream content. It is a critical metric for activities such as video conferencing, cloud storage, remote work, and content creation.
Industry analysts say rising demand for digital services in Kenya has increased pressure on internet service providers to improve both upload and download performance.

The findings place Faiba at the top of Kenya’s fixed broadband segment in terms of upload performance, highlighting growing competition among providers as users increasingly prioritise stability and speed for work and entertainment.
Kenya’s broadband market has become more competitive in recent years, driven by expansion of fibre networks and increased demand for high-capacity internet connections, particularly in urban centres.
Kenya is among Africa’s most digitally connected economies, with rapid growth in remote work, online education, and digital entrepreneurship. This has placed greater emphasis on upload performance, not just download speed.
Experts note that as cloud-based services and video communication platforms expand, upload speeds are becoming a key differentiator for internet service providers.
