NAIROBI, Kenya — A lawyer representing the family of the late Albert Ojwang’ has voiced grave concerns regarding the condition of his body, citing visible and extensive signs of physical trauma.
Ojwang’ died while in custody at the Central Police Station in Nairobi, a case that has rapidly drawn significant public interest and amplified demands for accountability.
Speaking to the press outside the City Mortuary, the family’s legal representative detailed severe injuries observed on Ojwang’s head, hands, and shoulder area.
“The head was swollen all over—especially the frontal part, the nose, and the ear,” the lawyer stated, emphasizing the apparent trauma.
According to the lawyer, blood was visibly oozing from Ojwang’s nose and mouth during the body viewing.

These alarming findings have prompted the lawyer to strongly urge authorities to launch an independent investigation into the circumstances surrounding Ojwang’s death.
