NAIROBI, KENYA — Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has publicly asserted that he was the target of an elaborate plot involving poisoning and the fabrication of evidence. Speaking at a press briefing on Monday, May 19th, Gachagua detailed intelligence reports indicating a planned chemical attack against his convoy.
According to Gachagua, the alleged plot involved a sophisticated attempt to incapacitate him through chemical means. He alleges that the attack would have seen him brain-dead in 3 months.
“At about 2:30 pm, we received further intelligence from the deployed patriotic officers who were not in agreement with the evil mission, that they had clear instructions to plant arms and weapons in our convoy to provide evidence to arrest us and get evidence that they could charge us with in court,” he stated.
“After about 30 minutes, the killer squad was joined by their counterparts, who were highly trained in the use of biological weapons. Their instructions were to poison me through inhaled chemicals that would paralyse my brain within three months. This was the intent and the purpose of the whole operation,” Gahagua added.
Furthermore, Gachagua claimed that the operation included a plan to plant weapons within his convoy to implicate him in criminal activity. He alleged, “This killer squad has been carrying out extrajudicial killings and abductions. They had clear instructions to plant arms and weapons in our convoy to provide evidence to arrest us and get evidence that they could charge us with in court.”

As a result of these purported threats, Gachagua and his associates reportedly altered their planned route.
When questioned about reporting the incident to law enforcement, Gachagua expressed distrust, stating, “How do you report to the people who want to poison me?” He further declared, “I am speaking to the people of Kenya, so that if anything happens to me, President William Ruto should be held accountable.”
At the time of this report, neither the police nor the government have issued a response to Gachagua’s allegations.
