KAMPALA, UGANDA — The U.S. Embassy in Kampala has issued a stern warning against the use of fake or forged documents in visa applications, emphasizing that such deceptive practices result in a lifetime ban from entering the United States.
In a statement released on Monday, the embassy underscored that submitting falsified documents constitutes fraud, a serious offense with lasting repercussions.
“If you submit fake documents with your U.S. visa application, you are committing fraud and risking your future,” the embassy cautioned.
Officials further reassured the public that they consistently stay ahead of document vendors and adapt to evolving threats, making it increasingly difficult to circumvent the system.
“We stay one step ahead of document vendors and adapt to emerging threats,” the statement added.
Applicants are strongly advised to maintain honesty throughout the visa application process to protect their future travel prospects.
“Protect your future—be truthful and do not submit fake documents,” the embassy advised.
The statement also highlighted that any attempt to falsify documents not only triggers an automatic lifetime ban but also severely undermines an individual’s credibility with U.S. immigration authorities, potentially jeopardizing future applications.
Visa applicants are urged to adhere to regulations and provide accurate, verifiable information to ensure a smooth and successful application.
