Action movie star Chuck Norris dies aged 86, family confirms
Chuck Norris, veteran, martial arts world champion, action hero and early 2000s Internet meme inspiration, whose rugged demeanor was immortalized on hit show “Walker, Texas Ranger,” has died.

KAUAI, Hawaii — Action film legend and martial arts icon Chuck Norris has died at the age of 86, his family has confirmed in a heartfelt statement.

“It is with heavy hearts that our family shares the sudden passing of our beloved Chuck Norris yesterday morning,” the statement read. “While we would like to keep the circumstances private, please know that he was surrounded by his family and was at peace.”

The family paid tribute to a figure they described not only as a global star, but as the foundation of their lives.

“To the world, he was a martial artist, actor, and a symbol of strength. To us, he was a devoted husband, a loving father and grandfather, an incredible brother, and the heart of our family,” they said.

Norris rose to international prominence through a career that bridged competitive martial arts and Hollywood success, becoming one of the most recognisable faces in action entertainment. He is widely remembered for his starring role in the long-running television series Walker, Texas Ranger, where his portrayal of a principled lawman cemented his reputation for discipline and moral authority on screen.

Beyond his film and television career, his family emphasised the personal values that defined his life.

“He lived his life with faith, purpose, and an unwavering commitment to the people he loved. Through his work, discipline, and kindness, he inspired millions around the world and left a lasting impact on so many lives.”

According to reports, Norris had recently been hospitalised in Hawaii following a medical emergency, raising concerns about his condition in the days leading up to his death.

“The love and support he received from fans around the world meant so much to him, and our family is truly thankful for it. To him, you were not just fans, you were his friends.”
