MASSACHUSETTS, United States — The CEO of technology firm Astronomer Inc. has resigned following a public incident captured on video at a rock concert.
The company announced on Saturday that its chief executive was filmed in an intimate embrace with a woman who was not his spouse.
Astronomer Inc. released a statement via its LinkedIn profile, emphasizing the company’s expectations for its leadership: “Our leaders are expected to set the standard in both conduct and accountability, and recently, that standard was not met.”
The incident involved CEO Byron and Astronomer’s Chief People Officer Kristin Cabot. The two were filmed at a Coldplay concert in Massachusetts on Wednesday in a clip that quickly gained traction online.
A company spokesperson confirmed that Byron and Cabot were the only employees of the firm seen on camera but did not comment on Cabot’s employment status.

The moment they realized they were being displayed on a jumbo screen within Gillette Stadium, Byron quickly moved out of view, while Cabot reacted by covering her face and turning away.
Coldplay’s lead singer, Chris Martin, reportedly commented on the situation, stating, “either they’re having an affair or they’re just very shy.”
Before the company officially confirmed their identities, online users had already identified Byron and Cabot through their social media profiles.
