SEATTLE, United States — Democracy for the Citizens (DCP) party leader and former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has officially launched the North Pacific Chapter Satellite Office in Seattle, Washington, marking a new milestone in his political journey.

“We are now expanding our presence with our very first satellite office in Seattle,” Gachagua announced on Monday via a post on his X account.

He characterized the new office as a pivotal step in bolstering outreach and improving engagement with Kenyans residing in the United States, especially those in Seattle and nearby regions.

“This new office will strengthen our efforts, foster greater engagement, and bring our initiatives closer to the people of Seattle and the surrounding areas,” he stated.

Gachagua departed Kenya on the night of July 9, 2025, for a two-month tour across the United States. This marks his initial international trip since his removal from office in October 2024.

His agenda includes visits to Dallas, California, Seattle, Boston, and Baltimore, where he is scheduled to conduct town hall meetings and participate in community events.

On July 12, Gachagua held his first official meeting with the Kenyan diaspora at a gathering in Seattle, which he described as candid and productive.

The former Deputy President commended their readiness to discuss national issues openly and expressed his anticipation for ongoing dialogues throughout his U.S. visit.
