KAMPALA, Uganda — Ugandan celebrated musician and philanthropist, Moses Ssali, widely known as Bebe Cool, has officially released his highly anticipated album, “Break the Chains,” following months of build-up.

To mark the occasion, Bebe Cool hosted an album listening party at Nonie Vie, attended by prominent figures in the music industry, including fellow artists and key stakeholders.

As midnight struck, “Break the Chains” became available on various digital streaming platforms, such as Amazon, Spotify, Apple Music, and YouTube Music.

The album listening event was expertly co-hosted by renowned Nigerian media personality Adesope Olajide, also known as Shopsydoo/Energy Gawd, alongside Viana Indi from NBS TV.

DJ Slick Stuart provided the soundtrack throughout the album’s listening session.

Adesope led an engaging discussion with Bebe Cool, delving into the creative process and conceptualization behind each track on the album.

With “Break the Chains,” Bebe Cool ventures into Afrocentric genres and sounds, which have gained global recognition as the contemporary African sound.

Demonstrating his musical innovation, Bebe Cool aimed to offer a fresh perspective on his already impressive catalog, pushing musical boundaries in novel directions.

The album comprises sixteen tracks, characterized by rich arrangements and emotionally resonant melodies, spanning a diverse range of genres from Afrobeats to Afrotech—a burgeoning electronic dance music sub-genre rooted in house music and Afro house, predominantly originating from South Africa. Unifying the collection is Bebe Cool’s distinctive vocal delivery.
