    GSU officer kills wife, daughter before turning gun on himself in Lamu

    GSU officer kills lover, her daughter before turning gun on himself in Lamu

    LAMU, KENYA — Police in Mokowe, Lamu West, Lamu County, are currently investigating a fatal incident in which a General Service Unit (GSU) constable allegedly shot and killed a local school teacher and her daughter before taking his own life.

    The tragic events unfolded on Sunday at approximately 5:30 am. Neighbors reported hearing four gunshots, prompting them to alert police.

    Upon arrival, officers forcibly entered the residence and discovered three deceased individuals.

    The teacher has been identified as Sheila Mukoya, who was reportedly shot twice. Her daughter succumbed to a single gunshot, while the GSU officer died from a single gunshot wound.

    According to neighbors, the officer and the teacher were in a relationship and had been involved in a dispute on Saturday night, which tragically escalated on Sunday morning.

    The bodies of the deceased have been transferred to the Mpeketoni Sub-County Hospital morgue.
