NAROK, Kenya — Paul Ng’eno, the brother of the late Emurua Dikirr MP Johana Ng’eno, has died after a period of hospitalisation.
The death was announced on Saturday by Democracy for Citizens Party (DCP) leader Rigathi Gachagua, who sent a condolence message to the family.
In a message posted on Facebook, Gachagua conveyed his condolences to Mama Mary Temas, the mother of the late legislator, describing the loss of her second son as particularly painful.
“To Mama Mary Temas, mother to the late Emurua Dikirr MP, Hon. Johanna Ng’eno, pole sana on the loss of your son, Mr. Paul Ng’eno, who had been hospitalized for a while,” Gachagua said.
He prayed for strength and God’s grace for the family as it comes to terms with the loss.
“To lose your two sons within a short period is truly painful,” Gachagua said.
Paul’s death comes a day after Gachagua visited Mama Temas at her home in Mogondo village, Emurua Dikirr, Narok County.
During the visit, Gachagua said he was saddened to find the family still struggling with grief months after Johana Ng’eno’s death.
Johana Ng’eno died on February 28, 2026, in a helicopter crash in Chepkiep village, Mosop Constituency, Nandi County. He was among seven people killed in the accident.

Gachagua used a rally in Emurua Dikirr on Friday to renew his call for investigations into the circumstances surrounding the former MP’s death.
He said the death had left unanswered questions and called on authorities to establish what happened.

Gachagua also questioned claims surrounding events preceding the crash and challenged Interior Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen to provide answers regarding allegations he raised during the rally.
The former Deputy President had earlier called for authorities to consider involving international investigative agencies, including Scotland Yard or the FBI, in establishing the circumstances surrounding Ng’eno’s death.
The claims remain allegations and have not been established by an official investigation.
Johana Ng’eno’s death left his family mourning, and the latest loss of his brother Paul has deepened the tragedy for Mama Temas, who has now lost two sons within six months.
Gachagua extended his condolences to the family and prayed for comfort during what he described as a difficult period.
