SHINYANGA, Tanzania — Tanzanian singer and songwriter Nandy has expressed deep gratitude following the latest edition of the Nandy Festival, describing the event as a defining milestone in both her music career and personal journey.

The festival, held in Shinyanga, Tanzania, comes at a symbolic moment for the award-winning artist, marking 10 years in the music industry and the fifth anniversary of her self-founded festival.

In an emotional message shared on her Instagram page alongside a video montage from the event, Nandy credited her success to faith, perseverance and the continued support of her fans.

“God is so great, especially when you trust Him with strong faith,” she said.

For Nandy, the Nandy Festival has grown beyond a music showcase into a personal mission and creative expression of her journey in the entertainment industry.

She described the initiative as something she deeply loves and has nurtured over the years, noting that despite challenges along the way, her faith has remained central to its growth.

“For me, this is not just a festival. It is a passion that lives inside my heart, and I enjoy doing this. God continues to bless it,” she said.

The singer added that achieving both milestones simultaneously made the occasion particularly meaningful, saying she does not take the moment for granted.

Nandy also paid tribute to fans in Shinyanga, crediting them for playing a key role in making this year’s edition a success.

“Shinyanga, I love you so much. You have opened a new chapter in the history of the Nandy Festival through its greatness,” she said.

The event attracted fans from different regions, reinforcing the festival’s growing reputation as one of Tanzania’s key music and cultural gatherings.

The award-winning singer further acknowledged the contribution of fellow musicians who participated in the festival, appreciating their support and collaboration.

She thanked them for their presence and unity during the event, describing their involvement as instrumental to its success.
