STOCKHOLM, Sweden — Spotify has launched a new feature designed to give users a recurring, personalized snapshot of their recent listening habits. Dubbed ‘Listening Stats,’ the tool offers both Free and Premium subscribers a quick look at the top artists, songs, and highlights that defined their past month on the streaming platform.
The feature is currently rolling out across more than 60 markets globally.
The weekly music snapshot
According to Spotify, the tool is designed to help listeners “relive your week in music in a fun, sharable snapshot” while also intelligently surfacing playlists inspired by a user’s current tastes.
The feature functions by compiling a user’s most played artists and songs from the previous four weeks and presenting them alongside a rotating weekly highlight.
Spotify notes that these highlights are intended to capture milestones, standout discoveries, or memorable fan moments—elements meant to showcase “what makes your listening unique.”
This new feature complements the platform’s existing array of discovery tools, such as ‘daylist,’ ‘Release Radar,’ and ‘Discover Weekly.’

Designed for sharing
A key element of the ‘Listening Stats’ feature is its emphasis on shareability. Users are enabled to post their full statistics or individual weekly highlights directly from the Spotify app to popular social platforms like Instagram and WhatsApp, or to share them instantly with friends on Spotify.
Users can access the feature by tapping their profile image, opening the menu, and selecting the “Listening Stats” tab.
This section provides immediate insights and includes a dedicated share button for quick posting. Spotify believes the rollout will help listeners explore their music identities in a more playful and frequent manner.
