The CT-OVC programme is specifically designed to encourage the retention and fostering of orphans and vulnerable children within their extended families and communities, promoting long-term human capital development.

According to the ministry, the funds are intended to serve several critical objectives, including boosting school enrolment and transition rates, improving recipients’ health and nutrition, enhancing household food security, and strengthening overall child protection mechanisms within the community.
