DAR ES SALAAM, Tanzania — Morocco has advanced to the semifinals of the 2024 African Nations Championship (CHAN) after a 1-0 victory over Tanzania at the Benjamin Mpaka National Stadium in Dar es Salaam. The Atlas Lions secured their spot in the final four of the tournament, which is being co-hosted by Uganda, Kenya, and Tanzania.

The decisive goal of the floodlit match came from Berkane Football Club forward Oussama Lamlioui, who scored in the 65th minute with an assist from Raja Casablanca midfielder Youssef Belammari. Morocco now awaits the winner of the quarterfinal clash between Uganda and Senegal.

Uganda is set to host Senegal in the third quarterfinal on Saturday, August 23, 2025, at the Mandela National Stadium, Namboole.
