DAR ES SALAAM, Tanzania — Bongo Flava star Harmonize has announced that his upcoming album, originally slated for release in 2025, has been postponed to 2026. The musician cited the ongoing political instability and challenges facing Tanzania as the primary reason for the delay.

In a candid address to his fans via Instagram Stories on Friday, November 28, 2025, the Konde Music Worldwide CEO explained that the current national climate makes it difficult to proceed with the album rollout as scheduled.

“This is Kondeboy. I made this video because I have been telling you about my album a couple of times. I am not very sure that the album is going to come out this year. I have been trying to talk to my label management to see how we can push it to next year,” Harmonize stated.

A call for prayer and healing

Harmonize emphasized that releasing a celebratory project during such a tumultuous period would be insensitive. Instead, he urged his followers to focus on prayer for Tanzania and other African nations facing similar hardships.

“We just need to pray that everything gets back together. God bless Tanzania, Africa, Nigeria, and South Sudan,” he said. “I’m not even happy to see that video talking about us in Tanzania. Mungu ailaze mahali pema. We just pray everything gets back together to enjoy music.”

Dodoma concert previously cancelled

The decision to delay the album follows a recent move by the artist to shelve live performances due to the political environment.

Just weeks ago, Harmonize postponed his highly publicized concert in Dodoma following days of nationwide protests linked to the country’s general elections.

On Thursday, November 6, 2025, his record label, Konde Gang, released an official statement confirming the cancellation of the show, which had been scheduled for Friday, November 7, 2025, at the Talatala Lounge on Uhindini Street.

In their communication, the label noted that the atmosphere in the country was too tense and unpredictable to proceed with entertainment events, prioritizing national healing instead.

“Show postponed. Prayers up for peace and healing,” the group posted, accompanying the message with the Tanzanian flag and heart emojis.
