KAMPALA, Uganda — The Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) has officially released the schedule for the 2025 national examinations, including the Primary Leaving Examination (PLE), the Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE), and the Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE).

According to UNEB Executive Director Dan Odongo, the examination season will commence on Friday, October 10th, with the briefing of UCE candidates.

This marks the second time that the Board will be assessing candidates under the new Competency-Based Curriculum for UCE.

In a related directive, UNEB has instructed the heads of examination centers and district education officials to display the 2025 candidates’ registers.

This mandatory exercise, which runs from August 10th to October 10th, 2025, requires the registers to be conspicuously displayed in a public place at the respective schools and district headquarters.

The measure, provided for under the UNEB Act, aims to ensure all concerned parties can verify the details of the candidates ahead of the examinations.
