KAMPALA, Uganda — Ugandan tycoon Hamis Kiggundu, widely known as Ham, has once again captured the public’s attention on social media after unveiling a series of striking family portraits.
The images, taken inside his renowned “Ham’s Residence” in Akright City, showcase the mogul with his two wives and 11 children, all elegantly dressed in white.
For many Ugandans online, the photographs have reinforced Ham’s public image not just as a business titan but as a “family mogul.”
The pictures, which exude a sense of both intimacy and opulence, portray a man whose wealth is seen as being measured not only by his extensive properties and enterprises but also by his love and legacy.

As one witty social media commenter remarked, “Ham is not just a city mogul, he is a family mogul.”
The public is no stranger to headlines about Hamis Kiggundu’s business endeavors. He has recently been at the center of high-profile engagements with the Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) and the National Environment Management Authority (NEMA) regarding his ambitious Nakivubo channel redevelopment project. This major urban infrastructure project has attracted both praise for its potential to redefine the city and scrutiny over its execution.

Despite his focus on shaping Kampala’s skyline, these new family portraits serve as a powerful reminder that his empire extends to the warmth of his household.

The images suggest a seamless duality, with the same resilience and drive he applies to building businesses reflected in his commitment to building bonds and memories at home.
