MUKONO, Uganda — Kamuli District’s LC5 Chairperson, Charles Mugude Maxwell Kuwembula, tragically died in a road accident on the Nakifuma-Kayunga Road in Mukono District during the early hours of Thursday, June 12, 2025, police confirmed.

The fatal incident occurred at approximately 4:40 am when the government-registered double-cabin pick-up (UG 699M) he was driving reportedly collided with a stationary truck (UBR 835K) on the Gayaza-Kayunga road.

At the time of the crash, Mr Kuwembula was en route from Kampala to Kamuli.
