NAROK, KENYA — Popular American content creator and philanthropist James Stephen, widely known as MrBeast, has garnered widespread admiration in Kenya following his impactful charitable initiatives in Narok County.

Upon arrival at Oloirien Primary School in Narok, MrBeast and his team immediately focused on enhancing the school’s infrastructure and providing essential agricultural resources to bolster food security within the community.

A significant outcome of his visit was the establishment of a school feeding program, which has demonstrably increased student enrollment. Launching his video on April 12th, MrBeast introduced his audience to the Kenyan school, stating his commitment to providing aid commensurate with the video’s viewership.

He emphatically declared, “You watching this video will supply farmland, build massive kitchens and build schools with food for their students and save children from child labour. Because of our meal programme, the school attendance skyrocketed.” This statement underscored the direct link between viewer engagement and the tangible improvements being implemented.

American Youtuber Mr.Beast visited a school in Kenya, where he provided meals for the students, built a kitchen, purchased new desks, dug a well, and donated a tractor and a truck.

Recognizing the challenging learning environment, MrBeast’s team procured new desks for the students, who had previously been learning on the bare, dusty ground. The arrival of a truckload of new desks was met with enthusiastic cheers from the pupils, who were accustomed to the inadequate provision of sharing desks intended for two among four students.

To ensure the sustainability of the feeding program, MrBeast invested in agricultural technology for the surrounding community to enhance local food production.

This included the purchase of a tractor for the farm managed by his foundations, with a designated portion of the land allocated specifically for the school’s food cultivation.

MrBeast expressed optimism that the introduction of mechanized farming would significantly boost food output, thereby addressing the prevalent issue of hunger within the school and neighboring areas. Furthermore, he provided a truck to facilitate the transportation of surplus produce to local markets.

The initiative also involved the construction of a new, larger, and more modern kitchen at the school to effectively support the provision of two meals daily. Complementary additions such as a well, a water storage tank, a greenhouse, and an expanded farm were implemented to guarantee the school’s long-term food independence.

Concluding the Kenyan segment of his project, MrBeast ensured the school was equipped with enough food to provide 100,000 meals. He clarified that the charitable endeavors are funded through revenue generated from his YouTube channel’s viewership.

Beyond Kenya, MrBeast extends his philanthropic activities to other African nations, including Ghana, Somalia, Uganda, Cameroon, and Zimbabwe. His diverse contributions encompass the drilling of boreholes for access to clean water, the donation of food and educational materials, the construction of bridges, and the provision of bicycles.

Predictably, Kenyan social media users voiced their criticism towards local political figures for what they perceived as neglect of the school, necessitating MrBeast’s intervention. One X user asserted, “MrBeast has done what the KK government could not achieve in 30 years.”

Another comment echoed this sentiment, stating, “It’s sad that despite having an MCA, MP, Senator, and Governor, the area is still so neglected that MrBeast has to step in and do what leaders should’ve done long ago.”

Adding to the discourse, Alex Mwaniki commented, “And then Ruto uses six choppers and 100 cars to go launch a library in Thakara Nithi county. Who knows, he might even go to Narok and re-launch these MrBeast projects and pretend they’re his own.”

MrBeast disseminates his charitable endeavors through his highly popular YouTube channel, which boasts a subscriber base exceeding 380 million.
